I'm more troubled by those people who seem to be actively hostile toward the whole situation at present. I find it very difficult to understand such levels of vitriol and inappropriate behaviour toward someone who has now died and is oblivious to these sentiments. The only people who are likely to be affected by these scenes and responses are her family and close friends and none of them really deserve that as far as I can see.

One of the best things that i can remember about my childhood was when my mother took me on the milk snatcher demo...I remember having my picture taken by the press 'Margaret Thatcher Milk Snatcher' banner...LOL

....TBF...I didn't like the smell of the milk bottle on my hand as a kid..but then i was getting free milk at home and i grew up in a middle class family but they are strong Labour based...to look out for others that are worse off!

Both of my brothers are professional based in employment but are still staunch Labour!

She's still his mother and he's as entitled to a degree of compassion as anyone is who is mourning the loss of a loved one.

Two wrongs don't really make a right. No matter what unsavoury or unethical things he may have done, he has still just lost his mother and even if people can't bring themselves to actually sympathy for him, his sister and his children, maybe it's better not to stick the boot in just at the present time - for humanity's sake, if for no other reason.

If her funeral turns into a shambolic riot due to the stupidity of a minority of misguided idiots as I am concerned that it might, I fear for the way Britain will be perceived in the eyes of the watching world.

I really hope my concerns are unfounded.

I fully understand why many feel such hatred anger and bitterness toward her and her and care not a jot about her family.
Some wounds will never heal.
There are people who's lives were destroyed by her and her family.
All this talk of Thatcherism was in reality Rothschildisms.

Massive unpayable credit began deregulation of the money men began.
I doubt she understood half of it and why people were screaming about the manufacturing crisis that she was creating and the coming financial crisis she was creating and the housing crisis she was creating simply because ... none of it originated with her.

I did not like the woman or her son and I can fully understand why they are both disliked by so many but I really do not like the prospect of her funeral turning into another renta-a-mob spectacle which will make the whole country look bad.

Dennis Thatcher was a Millionaire Business man that inherited his fathers Chemical firm, which produced Nerve Gas and specialised in "Agent Orange"

Nobody is required to attend who would rather not and it would probably be better all round if they didn't.

People who hated her are entitled to their understandable viewpoint and there is no need for them to show any reverence toward her. For the occasion of her funeral though, there is no justification for anyone who does not care to pay their respects to her to do so, or even to be present. They should just stay away.

I fail to see how an elderly dead lady, lying in her coffin can be considered to be powerful or capable of humbling or humiliating anyone else. If there is any disruption at her funeral, then responsibility for any subsequent humiliation will be laid entirely at the feet of those causing it.

I think their points have been made already. There is no justification for turning her funeral into a riot or a demonstration and doing so won't change the past. A funeral is not the time to make political points and in any case, how can any such points even be relevant now? She left office 22 and a half years ago and she's dead, so it's not as if she can take any of that on board at her own funeral, is it? Any disruption would be borne out of nothing more than spite and a desire to cause trouble and additional distress to those who were close to her.

I don't believe you can draw any sort of realistic comparison between Saddam Hussein, a genocidal despot and Margaret Thatcher, who - whether we liked it or not - was democratically elected to serve as PM three times in succession.
