All that standing around filming the gory events. You'd have thought people would recoil in horror. Society has become very hard and I blame the internet, which allows ordinary people to see real life horror stuff that previously only soldiers, coroners, mortuary personnel and the like were privy to. rip to the soldier and condolences to his family.

Do those who film it and are eager to have their work published ever stop to think about the victim's family, I wonder? I watched their press conference yesterday and commented on how all that gory footage must have exacerbated their grief and horror at what had happened to their family member. I really don't like how intrusive our news media are tbh, and if they weren't grabbing the footage there'd be less incentive to take it.

The English Defence League's attempt to capitalise on the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby have not been as successful as they might as hoped as only 1500 turned up for their Newcastle demo this afternoon according to Northumbria police.

A gathering of Muslims in Morden, south London attracted 5000 to prayer for the dead soldier.

Is the person blind or stupid?? I have posted quite a bit at Vils. Vils has not as yet openly declared himself a Hezbollah whore, he prefers the snidy route, Im sure we will get there in the end. I do understand why, it is the army after all, not nursery school BUT surely it would have been better to court marshal him then than put him out to be a danger to others and then need to court marshal for this. It could have been a lot worse too.

So should the sanctions on selling arms to Syria be scrapped? The arms industry is losing out on a fair bit of profit by not selling to Syrian rebels..
On the other hand Assad forces are killing Syrians. We apparently would like the rebels to get rid of Assad.

However there are known AlQaeda fighters battling it out on the side of the rebels, haven't we tried this sort of thing before???

Meanwhile Iran is happily supplying Hezbollah who are fighting for Assad.

Im beginning to think we should leave Muslims in their own countries to battle out this issue to the bitter end. It has been going on since Mohamed popped his clogs in 632AD.... At some point one side should emerge victorious, then we can sort out the basics...
I suppose some sort of system can be worked out on who gets to supply which side with weapons....
