Does it not occur to you that perhaps the rest of the voting population didn't much care for the prospect of "red-blooded socialism" and that such an idea was always likely to be doomed to fail? Even by the 1970s, the idea of active socialism in Britain was not really what the general public was accustomed to or aspired to - and still wasn't by the 1990s. I prefer to make my own mind up and I certainly don't agree with every social or political commentary I have read. I don't think a perfect political situation exists because society changes as a result of what has gone before and by the time a new political ideology has become embedded, social change in the intervening period renders it outdated again.

This country needed a strong leader.
We got one.
Thatcher.
Sadly with all the wrong policies that lead us to where we are now.

The alternative ...
We had rivers of oil flowing ... fourth largest producer in the world was it?
What did we get?
Mass unemployment the destruction of manufacturing and raging inflation.
What happened to all that oil money?
The Rothschilds advised ... told ... Thatcher that it should all go to the banking classes and it should be invested in China and India.
It could of course have given us super ports super airports super highways schools housing etc etc.
Instead we had crumbling infrastructure all round.
How did they get away with it?

We're going backwards like I said earlier.

My alternative strong leader would have had to be stronger than Thatcher.
First move would have been to take away the right of banks to create and issue the currency of the land at interest to the government/tax payer.
The government would create the nations money and we would now be debt free.
The oil wealth would have been directed into this country.
Those vast resources were yours and mine not some fat fucks who never did a days work.
We could have had forty years of massive wealth pouring into infrastructure and people.
Imagine what could have been.
It's now as good as all gone.
Gone as in whooshed away gone.
That oil and gas was a one off last chance but the fat fucks used it all up.
We now have nowt.
So working from nowt with nowt what do we get?
No wealth creation and zero growth.
Because no wealth is being created and there are no resources left to work with ... the wealthiest are changing rules and laws that enable them to hoover up what wealth already exists.
How else do you think the wealthy are getting wealthier?

Just read an article not only has the Tax Payer got to pay for the Funeral, it appears Magaret Thatchers estate is controlled by an off shore account, which will cost the Tax payers £2.5 million in lost Inheritance Tax.

1986 Margaret Thatcher replaced the Capital Transfer Tax with the now Inheritance Tax. ( Now thats a surprise )
