My OH would never have a satnav, he knows every short cut going I think....I have no sense of direction so probably could do with one.

Na it's my hubby that gets lost going to the shop in the town he's stayed pretty much all his life Rolling Eyes

So much for the belief (probably man made) that it's only women who suffer from a non existant sense of direction.

I openly admit I have none whatsoever...I can walk out of a shop and walk off in the wrong direction, and if I need to drive anywhere new I do a few trial runs beforehand.....I am useless.

Honestly syl, he can travel a road dozens of times then come onto it from a different junction and that's him lost!

He says it's from never having a car as a child so he didn't pay attention to roads much. I think it's just lack of retention memory wise lol

I borrowed a Sat-Nav to drive back home once.
My mate the plonker never told me that it was only for Germany. Austria and Switzerland.
All was going fine and to plan untill I got to Belgium and switched it on.
All of a sudden. No more Navi and I was forced to drive around the middle of Brussels for about 3 hhours.
Missed the bleeding Ferry as well.
I have got a Good ol' fashioned Atlas now.

I seem to have a built in sat nav.
I think I may have been a pigeon in an earlier life.
I seem to know if I should be heading eastward westward whatever and seem to know where those are.
I have a reputaion for it in fact.
I can set off from anywhere in the uk and find the smallest of places and occasionally I will stop to ask for a street or business no problem with that but ... town to town village to hill top whatever I'm expert at.
Driving on the continent is another matter ... it all goes out the window.

My OH is the same...OK years driving a cab has helped, but even when we go somewhere he has never been he instinctively seems to know which way to go.

The only time we get lost abroad is when we end up in one of those villages with narrow winding streets that all seem to lead back to the same place. Shocked

I'm pretty good at finding my way once I've been somewhere just once.

I don't like going to cities on my own because I tend to not be able to watch the signposts, drive and watch all the other cars at the same time Embarassed

We just got back from a garden centre which is miles away....we bought some solar garden lights in a box...they looked lovely on the display in the shop. However...when we opened the box the parts dont fit together, the stainless steel posts neither fit in or over the lights themselves, so they are unusable.
We will now have to drive all the way back to return the useless things.

How f**~ing annoying.

We took the lights back yesterday...on the way in we said "I bet they will say ...Oooh, we have had no others returned" I dont know why but assistants often say that, as if that makes it right or something.....and thats exactly what she did say. We had to laugh though as she was sorting us out a man appeared behind us with the same lamps with the same fault. No doubt if we had already left he would he would have been the first to buy the faulty lamps. Laughing
