Yeah but the other 2 could be out in 8??
It makes me feel sick that any of them could ever be freed from prison, and when they do get released they will prob be given new identities and lives and the lot

Judges can only work within sentencing guidelines and they don't set them out.

If you want stiffer tariffs for sentencing, that has to come from elsewhere.

In England & Wales, I understand it is this body which sets the guidelines.

Well, do you have evidence of that or is it just speculation? I doubt it applies in this case anyway.

Sadly, unless there is evidence that the intention was to kill the children - and it doesn't appear that this was what was intended, the only applicable charge is manslaughter. I understand how emotive this is, but you cannot simply change the rules according to how awful the outcome has been.

There's no doubt that this has been the most horrific crime but you cannot simply wish that they could change the charge to one of murder because you think the sentence isn't harsh enough. If you feel that the sentence isn't adequate for manslaughter in these circumstances, that's another issue but it still doesn't make it murder.

Unfortunately this idiot did not possess enough intelligence to realise that his crime had all the potential to have a tragic outcome, but I imagine his ego and overall stupidity prevented him from seeing that the risks far outweighed any potential benefit. These were risks he was clearly willing to take but I doubt he even considered that the children might have perished. He was far too stupid for that and I sincerely hope his sentence is a living hell - every single day of it.
