Baby P man recalled to prison

A man jailed over the death of Baby P has been returned to prison for breaching his bail conditions.

Jason Owen from Bromley, south east London, was sentenced to six years in prison for causing or allowing the death of 17-month-old Peter Connelly.

Owen, his brother Steven Barker and Peter's mother Tracey Connelly were jailed following Peter's death in 2007.

The Ministry of Justice has not yet released the circumstances surrounding Owen's recall.

Good, maybe he will actually do his stretch now. Wasn't this the one released after just a very short term inside?

I think you are right, though I don't think even the father got enough of a sentence... The mother is out too isn't she?

Just checked, she was jailed for 5 years so should have been out by now, BUT was refused parole last year ! Unusual.

She is expected to ask for a new identity and hasn't long to serve now.

She was only jailed in 2011 wasn't she, but since they take time served on remand into account I expect she will have done more than half her sentence by now.
