Re: Ding Dong The Witch is Dead.
I cant see any reason why the BBC should shy away from playing it, the days when Mary Whitehouse got them to ban playing "My ding a ling" on the top 20 show are long gone.
Its anticipated to be a possible "number one" by the weekend.
I reckon a lot of people will be chanting it during the Funeral Cortege though !
Coincidence, the "White Witch" singing it was called GLINDA

What's all this respect stuff about?Syl wrote:Respect.
There are millions who hated her and don't give two hoots about her family.
Dancing on some ones grave is as old as time.
Lots of people want the world to know ... see crystal clear that inside this country was great hatred and bitterness and that wounds are still obviously open and running sore.
Wouldn't it be great if the people of North Korea could do the same.

What I would like has nothing whatsoever to do with the reality of the situation.Syl wrote:We dont live in North Korea we live in GB.
The woman is dead, her family are grieving...thats what the respect should be for.
Would you like it if you had lost someone you loved and the country was celebrating her death?
I'm well aware we don't live in North Korea
Read some history and see that people have behaved like this forever and it aint going to change now.

Well, he probably ought to be - but so far, he hasn't been. I wonder why that should be...?
Your feminist angle on this is weak. Thatcher was and is hated for what she did, not because of her gender. Moreover her selection of an all male cabinet (just one powerless female) was hardly a fine example for budding womanhood now, was it?

I vilify him and always have.
Feel free to join me.
