Sorry Vils. I didn't even see that post as it was just above the one of Henry's that i responded to.

Not sure what you mean. Are you questioning whether these offences really ARE offences or if they should be viewed via a contemporary perspective?

e.g adults are nowadays not generally permitted or even encouraged to engage in physical contact with children who are not family members... whereas in the 1970s, for example that form of contact may not even have raised an eyebrow? With hindsight, are some of the "victims" of some of these offences seeing examples of close physical contact as sexual or inappropriate gestures whereas that was possibly not how they were initiated

Sorry if I'm not addressing your question but that's how I interpreted it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
