TV weather presenter Fred Talbot has been arrested by police investigating allegations of historical child sex abuse at a Greater Manchester school.

The article says his home was searched in December so by naming him does this mean he has been charged?

Apparently so according to the article.

Police raided the presenter's home in Bowdon, Trafford, on 11 December. According to his Twitter account, he was abroad at the time.

A police spokesman said: "Since allegations were made to police in December we have made good progress with this investigation and with tracing and speaking to former pupils of Altrincham Grammar school.
