British woman loses appeal against her death sentence

Briton Lindsay Sandiford has lost her appeal against her death sentence in Bali for drug trafficking, a Bali High Court spokesman has said.

When you smuggle from nations that say we keeel yoo if we catch yooo ... you knows the chances your taking.
Crying to the British government is a no brainer in my book unless you really are innocent or think you can convince the British government and media you are.
Most are guilty.

I'm sure they are, but for me being an avid anti capital punishment person, I find this sticks in the throat a little.

I'm anti death penalty too but if your in a country where they kill you ... don't do the crime or don't get caught is what I say.

Has anyone from Britain ever been executed for drug smuggling abroad? I'm not sure I can recall any tbh.

Nor me, I have a feeling that any sentences of that nature were all commuted after intervention by our government.

Bali is a very corrupt government so there is hope yet. Bali have executed British dependancies though like Australians...

She gets 2 weeks to appeal, plus no foreigners have been executed since 1998 and no UK nationals have ever been executed.

Wasn't even asked for by the prosecutors, so it came as a bit of a shock. Have you saw her? A 56 yr old gran, who says she did it because gangsters had threatened her children. She is not a typical drug mule. I tend to believe her for where would she have got the money to purchase such a vast quantity?

People in her local community say she was a prolific drug trafficker. I think the death sentence being carried out, also rests on how much drugs you are caught with.
