I think that we should retain the monarchy because i think that they do a lot to promote tourism and who would want someone like President Cameron!

It all seemed common sense to me.
...I can see both sides because i come from a quite wealthy background but if it wasn't for a certain amount of inheritance then we would be destitute.. i can see that they have a role to play to promote tourism etc and i think that a president would be really bad imo.

I broke ranks from them quite recently..They are just far too up their own bottoms..We are worlds apart..When i came out the nearest place was a gay group in a very deprived area and that is where i have stuck and the poor are more genuine imo!

I watched a bit of it on the tv at work today, not the speech itself but the lead up to it.
No one does pomp and ceremony quite like we do in Britain, all those years of tradition. This is what I think is Britishness.
