Mine don't tend to get that far, I love cucumber and often cut off a chunk to eat on it's own.

My favourite snack is cucumber wrapped in a slice of smoked ham. Lovely.

As to shops I do the basics in aldi, then on to Asda for the things I can't over the road... Yep they are all within quarter of a mile Rolling Eyes

I like morrisons for the butcher stuff, but I go to the local butcher too... They do a lot of deals on meat packs too now to compete with the supermarkets.

The price increases are ridiculous,
One of my kids used to have to drink Oat milk instead of regular milk, the amount of times the price used to jump around was ridiculous...one week it would be 99p and the next week it would have risen in price up to £1.25p!

My kitchen is a bit like a garden.
Basilicum Mini-tomatoes lettuce petersilian Capsicums.
Loads of stuff in the Summer all in one or two grow-bags.
No chemicals or artificial preservatives there and 'Dirt' cheap.
Just make sure to water them regualary and you can save a bit of cash as well.
It is very easy to make 'Pesto' which keeps for ages and tastes wicked with spaggetti

You just reminded me, last year I bought a mini greenhouse, so wee guy could have an interest, it was a crap year and with one thing and another we didn't get it up... Their grandad was a brilliant gardener and died a few weeks ago, it would be a fitting way for them to remember if I get them putting it all up and taking an interest thumbsup

It was my father in law, though my own dad isn't as healthy these days as I would like either... Too much stress with my gran being so ill I think. Old age isn't pleasant

Tesco's are useless...They delivered our shopping today and the bottle of vodka still had the security tag on it..The guy who had just done his last drop had to travel back miles to get it removed and bring it back

I quite like deep fried Locusts. (There is an Insect Restaurant in Stuttgart).
Taste a bit nutty and full of protein.
I havn't treid them with Vinagar yet.
