Oh jeez this might be taking back to nature too far
Apparently some mother's are leaving the umbilical attached until it falls off naturally after birth...

Now I have understanding of being as close to natural as possible... But hey I watched the cat give birth and even SHE got rid of the mucky bit ASAP...Albeit I don't fancy chewing through it either where in nature is it natural to leave it, and I hope to goodness I don't pass this doing the shopping!

I found a website for placenta recipes Ravy, posted it on FH. Placenta lasagne, curry, all sorts lol
