Veteran BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has admitted indecently assaulting 13 girls, the youngest aged nine.

I find it difficult to understand how a prosecution such as these currently put forward against celebrities can be proved after some 40 years or so unless the celebrity admits to it, such as this case.

Really? Difficult to see how "exemplary" you can be after sexually assaulting a nine year old.

i just can't understand how it has taken so long for these cases to come forward, unless there has been some major cover up & it is all coming out now...

using their celebrity status dirty pervs, just waiting for Brucie to be announced now ...

Well the victims will no doubt all have been able to remember it happening and be able to make statements...and it was reported last night that some of the parents of the girls knew what had happened and did nothing because they wanted to be friends with a "celeb". so, if the parents are alive still, they too could have made statements. In this case, obviously Hall admitting it will have helped.

What will be interesting is to see what sentence he gets...I mean, he's in his eighties, the courts don't usually send people that old to prison. If he goes inside, will that discourage the others (Roache for example) from pleading guity?
