If a lower league journeyman had bitten someone, he'd have been sacked by the club. Liverpool cant afford to sack Suarez, he is worth £50 million and scores goals for fun.

Footballers are NOT role models. They are human beings playing a sport they have God given talent for. Any parent that encourages or allows a child to use a footballer as a role model is a poor parent.

Actually in matters like this the opinion of the public does matter. If fans dont want to watch him he will be a liability for the club....so ultimately he will be dropped.

I just can't believe anyone is worth that much. Players values are getting out of hand nowadays, surely it will reach a point when these players are priced out of the market and if they want to move on they won't be able to?

Already happening. They simply wait until their contract expires then move to a club for no fee, in the process gaining themself a huge signing on fee...

Yeah. If a club signs a player for a huge amount, say £25 million, they will tie them down with a very long contract, say 6 or 7 years. If a players contract has run out, they are a free agent, and can move to any club they wish for nothing. they can also negotiate a bumper signing on fee for themself, as the club they are joining don't have to pay out a huge transfer fee...

They were only expecting about a 3 match ban according to the news earlier. Must have been a bit of a shocker for him. Must be most of the rest of the season.
