Apparently some mother's are leaving the umbilical attached until it falls off naturally after birth... Shocked

Now I have understanding of being as close to natural as possible... But hey I watched the cat give birth and even SHE got rid of the mucky bit ASAP...Albeit I don't fancy chewing through it either sick

where in nature is it natural to leave it, and I hope to goodness I don't pass this doing the shopping!

That stump that is left on normally is gross enough without having trail around some liver looking lump hanging off the end of it as well!

Most animals after giving birth eat the Placenta.
Full of vitamins and minerals that the body needs after giving birth.
Some people in Africa an China eat it as well. (seriously).

I found a website for placenta recipes Ravy, posted it on FH. Placenta lasagne, curry, all sorts lol

Exactly, nowhere in nature does the animal cart it around with the baby! Rolling Eyes
