More Couples Opt For Separate Beds

The double bed may soon be a thing of the past with more and more couples choosing to sleep apart, research suggests.

When it comes to snoring, I think I need a separate room rather than separate beds!!! Mad

I agree with getting a better nights sleep at the weekend, apart from Sunday nights though, that has to be the worst night for trying to get to sleep.

I like having company in my bed!
I have a super king size bed, its massive so solves all the problems of space hogging and duvet hogging!

Ours is king size but I couldn't sleep without him! Mind you he has managed to hog the bed so much he actually pushed me out of it strangle

My neighbours now sleep in separate rooms. He goes to bed at nine and is up at 4am, she goes to bed about midnight and gets up about 10 so it suits them. They've been married almost 57 years.

I remember a woman I used to work with said her and her husband slept in different rooms.
If he was on a promise he knew, because she would leave her door open!! Laughing

Mind you, they had probably been married about 40 odd years by then too.

To be honest, if you both get a better nights sleep out of it why not.

My partner is like sleeping next to a hot water bottle, great in the winter but bloody way too warm in the summer months.

I'm lucky my OH doesn't snore. He's like a bit of toast you drop on the floor at night, all hot and hairy.

I'm thinking of setting up a situation with one of the kitchen girls
whereby I pop round once a week or so and probably leave around 3 or 4 in the morning.
Nice to wake up in one's own bed.
